Stretching Borders

A friend recently mentioned God stretching the borders of her heart and made reference to Psalm 147. That didn't sound very familiar, so I looked it up.

"...the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love...He grants peace to your borders and satisfies you witht he finest of wheat..." (Psalm 147: 11, 14)

Those words came as water to a parched heart! Sometimes it feels like we try so hard to hope and trust as we are stretched into new situations or challenges and no one notices our difficult efforts. But God doesn't only notice, He delights! He also gives peace to those areas of our lives where we are sure we just can't anymore. We all have those things that come up sometimes when we feel like it's too much. We feel that we have the right to put a foot down and not budge. Still God brings peace to those areas and let's us know it's ok, we can stretch and grow and learn a little more. We can! Then what sweet satisfaction comes straight from His hand!

It's worth it to hope in His unfailing love!
