In marriage there are times when you think you married an angel, and other times when you wonder, "what planet did he come from?" When two people with different personalities and backgrounds decide to live under the same roof for the rest of their lives, it's inevitable. Not everything is going to be perfect. In fact, a lot of things are going to stretch your brain in all kinds of directions as you try to understand why. WHY?!
Why must you leave your shoes in the entrance for me to trip over?
Why do you steal the kitchen towel from its designated spot?
Why do you take weeks to unpack suitcases after a trip?
Why can't you ever remember where you leave things?
I could go on and I'm sure if you are reading this and you are married, your mind has already begun thinking of your list of "whys". A lot of people fight over these things, but my husband and I decided long ago that it's more fun to laugh than fight. We can talk or argue about it till we are sixty three, but unfortunately some habits are really hard to change. Even though we do try to change to better love each other, I have to remember that I didn't marry a perfect person and he didn't either. So we laugh and have fun picking on each other and creating funny memories.
Speaking of which... I have a bit of unpacking to do before someone comes home from work!
laugh instead of fight!?!?
