Just some late night thoughts... I should really be asleep, but I'm having that sleeping-children, quiet-house random inspiration moment.
If you think about the best moments of your life, those times when everything worked out so perfectly and you felt blessed beyond your imagination...can you honestly say that it was because you orchestrated everything so well? I think that truthfully, some of the best times in our lives happen in very unplanned, unorganized, unexpected ways.
Why then do we constantly try to tell (or politely ask) God about our future wishes? So far, everything awesome and good that has happened to me has totally been by the hand of God. Therefore, I would rather let Him do His thing. Yet, we all fall into that habit of thinking we can actually create the best plan for our future. We even pray about our specific ideas of how things should happen...as if God needs help. :) Hey, He is our loving Father and loves to hear our hearts. But in the end, I think He also loves to hear "Your will be done" because then He can really go all out! Like when my 3-year-old begs and pleads to be done with dinner and go play, but he doesn't know there's ice-cream waiting in the freezer. If he is so bent on his way, I might let him do it. But then he will totally miss out. That's just sad, isn't it?
